We used 22 pounds of boost for the World Record run, or about 2200 horsepower. The shifting is done with with high pressure CO2 which engages multiple clutch packs. It shifts from 1st to 2nd at 90MPH, 2nd to 3rd at 140 MPH, and 3rd to 4th at 205 MPH. It has reached 277 MPH top speed. It utilizes both a high speed (200+MPH) and a low speed parachute for deceleration from 275 to about 125 MPH. It uses custom made salt raving tires which run at 90 pounds of pressure and it has two separate fire control systems, one for the engine compartment and one for the driver’s compartment. This car currently holds the World Land Speed Record for the AA Blown Fuel Modified Sport Class at 275.401 (one mile every 13 seconds) which it set in October of 2010 at the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah.
