Filisur to Davos
June 26, 2007 I left the Ritterhof Hotel in Sargans at 8:13a and travelled by train to Chur and then on to Filisur arriving at 10:15a. I left the rail station at Filisur at 10:30a and crossed under the railway and then uphill for a ways before beginning a contouring traverse above the tracks and the Landwasse river toward Davos. The path led through forest so the views weren’t great but it was nice enough. At noon I reached Wiesen station, where the trail intersected the road alongside the tracks and then continued on down the valley, sometimes on the road and sometimes on the trail slightly above the road. By 2:15p I entered Davos (1558m – 5112ft) and got a room at the Train Station Hotel for the night.
